Press X to Not Die

Press X to Not Die launched out of Early Access on October 6, 2017, having received substantial content additions throughout its Early Access period. Both DLC items (the Soundtrack and Special Edition Content) shipped in 2016 and are fully released. After the 1.0 launch, the developer returned in early 2022 with a series of quality-of-life and technical patches (engine migration, global stats, PlayStation button prompts, clip skip feature), with the last of these landing on February 28, 2022. These were explicitly framed as spin-offs of work being done on a new project, not as new content expansions for the game itself. The most recent developer communication is from August 23, 2025, when All Seeing Eye Games announced their next game, Star Squadron, on the Press X to Not Die store page. That post makes clear the studio has moved on to a new project and references Press X to Not Die as a past work and source of inspiration. No new content for Press X to Not Die has been announced or implied. All DLC is released, no unreleased items exist in the store listing, and the developer has not suggested any further updates are coming to the game. The 2022 patches represent the last substantive development activity on the game, and the August 2025 post — while the most recent communication — reinforces that the studio's focus is now on Star Squadron. Press X to Not Die is a complete, finished product.
