ProtoCorgi launched on June 15, 2023 as a complete retro shoot-'em-up. Following release, the developer (Kemono Games) shipped one substantial post-launch update: version 1.1, "The Mutator Update," on September 22, 2023. This was a significant content and feature update adding new gameplay modes, an improved soundtrack, accessibility options, and over a hundred fixes. After 1.1 shipped, the developer continued with a series of bug-fix and hotfix patches through March 31, 2024 (the most recent communication on record), addressing stability and edge-case issues in the 1.1 build. No further content updates, expansions, DLC, or roadmap announcements have followed. The store description describes a self-contained game with no seasonal content, battle passes, or promises of future additions. There are no unreleased DLC listings on the store. With only one major post-launch content release (version 1.1) and developer communications having tapered to purely maintenance patches since late 2023, the game's content appears complete as of the 1.1 update.
