Rend

Rend is no longer available for purchase on Steam — the store listing has no purchase options, meaning the game has been removed from sale. The developer, Frostkeep Studios, was very clear about the game's content status at launch. In their March 29, 2019 developer letter (coinciding with the game's exit from Early Access), they stated explicitly: "today's release of Patch 9 is Rend's last planned content update" and "we do not currently have plans for adding new or future content to the game." They acknowledged this was a resource-driven decision as an independent studio, while leaving open the possibility of revisiting content if player numbers recovered — but that was a conditional hope, not a commitment. No subsequent developer posts indicate that condition was met or that any further content was ever produced. The game launched on March 29, 2019 as a completed product by the developer's own declaration. It has since been removed from sale.
