Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood launched into Early Access and graduated to its 1.0 release on September 20, 2023, bringing a substantial wave of new content with it. During Early Access the team shipped multiple major content updates — a first update in May 2023 adding new stages, enemies, and a new character; a second in June 2023 adding even more; and a third announced in September 2023 that shipped with the 1.0 launch. Post-launch, the team continued updating: a large Version 1.1 dropped on November 6, 2023, adding seven new playable characters, a new stage, new bosses, new challenge rooms, and new familiars. A fifth major update followed on December 21, 2023, adding character skins, a partner system, quality-of-life features, and further polish. That December 21, 2023 post is the last developer communication on record. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no roadmap pointing to additional updates. The developer's update pattern — which was rapid during Early Access and the first few months after launch — has been silent since December 21, 2023, now more than two and a half years ago. With no outstanding commitments and a pattern that has clearly concluded, the game appears to be content-complete as of its fifth major update.
