Evaluation

Seafarer: The Ship Sim graduated from Early Access and launched into Full Release on September 24, 2026. During its Early Access period, the game received five major named updates: the LNG & Bulk Update (November 25, 2025), the Rescue Update, the Immersion Update (April 30, 2026), the Career Update (June 30, 2026), and the Co-op Crew Update (August 18, 2026). The game also launched simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day. The Full Release update on September 24, 2026 added eight new missions, mission replay via Quickplay, rebalanced rewards, and a range of fixes. At the end of that post, the developer noted: "Our work doesn't stop with today's release either. Further down, we'll also share what we're already working on for our first updates after launch." This signals intent to continue updating the game post-launch, but no specific content — no named DLC, expansion, or roadmap — has been announced. All three DLC items (Supporter DLC, Soundtrack, and the Voyager Pack) are released. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The game launched only one week before today's date, so there is not yet enough post-launch history to establish what the developer's update pattern will look like going forward.
