Evaluation
SEGA officially announced on November 6, 2024 that the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics bundle would be delisted from Steam on December 6, 2024. The game is no longer available for purchase, which is confirmed by the store data showing no purchase options available. Existing owners can still download and play the games they already own, but no new purchases are possible. The last meaningful content update was a major feature patch in May 2018 that added online multiplayer, VR support, leaderboards, and other enhancements, followed by two small bug fix patches in July 2018. No new content or updates have been communicated since 2018.
