Sundered originally launched on July 28, 2017. The game received two major post-launch content updates: the Finisher Update on June 21, 2018 (adding new combat moves and balance improvements), and then the Sundered: Eldritch Edition on December 19, 2018, which the developer explicitly described as "the definitive edition of our chaotic metroidvania, containing all previous updates published to the game" along with the new Magnate of the Gong update adding local co-op for up to 4 players, new areas, and a new boss. The store description confirms this edition includes all content. The only DLC listed is the original soundtrack, which was released alongside the game on July 28, 2017. After the Eldritch Edition shipped in December 2018, the only notable patch was a maintenance update on July 24, 2024 adding Traditional Chinese language support and a Unity engine upgrade — no new gameplay content. More recently, Thunder Lotus has been posting on Sundered's Steam page to announce their next games (At Fate's End in June 2025 and 33 Immortals in January 2026), confirming the studio is still active but has moved on to new projects. There are no unreleased DLC, no announced future content for Sundered, and the developer's own language positioned the Eldritch Edition as the complete, definitive package.
