Surviving the Aftermath

Surviving the Aftermath launched out of Early Access on November 16, 2021. At that time, the developer (Iceflake Studios) noted that work on post-release updates and upcoming DLCs was already in progress. The game subsequently received three paid DLC expansions: New Alliances (June 16, 2022), Shattered Hope (November 3, 2022), and Rebirth (March 16, 2023). All four DLC entries in the store are marked as released, with Rebirth being the most recent on March 16, 2023. After Rebirth shipped, the developer went quiet on major content. The only post-2023 communication is a Unity engine security hotfix posted on October 13, 2025 — a purely technical maintenance update with no mention of new content or ongoing development plans. There have been no announcements of additional DLC, expansions, or a roadmap since the Rebirth release. The established DLC cadence was roughly every 5–7 months (New Alliances → Shattered Hope → Rebirth), and as of June 27, 2026, it has been over three years since Rebirth shipped with no new content announced or released. The developer has not explicitly stated that development is complete, but the combination of all DLC shipped, no unreleased DLC in the store, no post-Rebirth content announcements, and a gap of over three years well beyond the historical release cadence strongly indicates the game's content cycle has concluded. The October 2025 hotfix shows the developer still maintains the game technically, but that is maintenance, not new content development.
