Evaluation
Team Fortress Classic launched on April 1, 1999 as a complete, standalone game. In the 27 years since release, Valve has never announced any expansions, DLC, or additional content plans. All post-launch updates have been maintenance in nature — security patches, bug fixes, platform compatibility work (Mac and Linux support added in 2013), and engine compatibility updates (most recently rebuilt to work with the Half-Life 25th Anniversary Update on October 2, 2024). None of these updates added new game content such as maps, character classes, weapons, or game modes. The game shipped as a finished product and has remained so throughout its lifetime.
Evidence
Most recent update rebuilt the game for compatibility with the Half-Life 25th Anniversary engine changes, plus minor bug fixes. No new content added.
Security and stability fixes only. No new game content.
