The Architect: Paris launched into Early Access in February 2021 and reached its full 1.0 release on September 30, 2021. During Early Access, the team shipped several major updates adding districts, designs, modding tools, and new game modes, culminating in a large content drop at the official 1.0 launch. A final post-launch feature patch followed on November 5, 2021, adding new districts and main projects.
The most important piece of information comes from a developer statement posted on February 19, 2024. The game director explained that the original developer, Enodo Games, filed for bankruptcy in early 2022. After a lengthy process, the studio's assets and intellectual property were acquired by a new company called 5PM Studio, which has since shifted focus entirely to a new game called Mémoriapolis. While the post expresses a vague hope to someday revisit The Architect: Paris, the director explicitly states the team cannot say when — or if — development will resume, and that the decision to move on was deliberate.
There have been no updates, patches, or developer communications since November 2021 other than this February 2024 status post, which effectively confirmed the game has been in an indefinite holding pattern since the studio closure. No future content has been announced, no roadmap exists, and the team is fully engaged on another title. The game is best understood as a complete product at its current state, with development having concluded following the studio bankruptcy and team restructuring.
