Evaluation

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing launched on May 22, 2013, as the first entry in a planned gothic-noir action RPG trilogy. All four DLC items — two character class packs (Thaumaturge and Arcane Mechanic) and cosmetic/multiplayer content — shipped between June and October 2013. NeocoreGames went on to release Van Helsing II (April 2014) and Van Helsing III (May 22, 2015), completing the trilogy. On November 6, 2015, NeocoreGames released Van Helsing: Final Cut — a standalone package consolidating the full trilogy — and gifted it to players who already owned all three games. This marked the natural conclusion of the Van Helsing series. The last bug-fix patch for the original game was issued on September 10, 2015, and no further development activity has been posted for this title since then. NeocoreGames has moved on to other projects (notably Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr and King Arthur: Knight's Tale), with their June 2024 sale post promoting the Van Helsing franchise at 90% off alongside their current active titles. All announced content has been delivered, the trilogy has concluded, and the studio has clearly shifted focus elsewhere. This game is a complete, finished product.
Evidence
Van Helsing: Final Cut released, consolidating the full trilogy. Existing trilogy owners were gifted the complete package for free — signaling the series had reached its definitive endpoint.
