Torchlight III

Torchlight III launched out of Early Access on October 13, 2020. After launch, the developer (Echtra Inc., publishing under Perfect World/XD) delivered post-launch content updates, including the substantial "Snow & Steam" update on December 15, 2020, which added a new contract, class reworks, new legendary gear, and fort improvements. The final major content update was the Spring Update on May 25, 2021, which introduced an entirely new playable class — the Cursed Captain — along with new pets, a new contract, and quality-of-life improvements. Following the Spring Update in May 2021, no further major content was released. The most recent developer communication of any kind is a publisher rebranding announcement from April 8, 2024, in which the publisher announced they were rebranding to "Arc Games." This post made no mention of Torchlight III development and focused entirely on the publisher's other titles and upcoming projects. There have been no developer posts about new content, updates, or ongoing development for Torchlight III since May 2021 — a gap of over four years as of June 2026. The game shipped three identifiable major content updates after launch (the 1.0 launch itself, Snow & Steam, and the Spring Update/Cursed Captain), with no further content following. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store, no roadmap or future content has been announced, and the developer has made no statements promising additional updates. The store description contains no language suggesting ongoing content. All evidence points to the game having reached its final state with the Spring Update in May 2021.
