Torchlight launched on October 27, 2009 as a complete, standalone action-RPG. The game shipped with a full campaign, randomized dungeons, three character classes, mod support, and a retirement system — all described in the current store page without any reference to post-launch DLC or expansions. There are no DLC listings for the game, and no developer communications have ever announced additional content for it. The most recent developer post from August 4, 2017 was simply a bundle announcement promoting a collection of Runic Games titles, with no mention of any new content for Torchlight itself. Runic Games was shut down by its parent company in November 2017, and no successor has continued development. Torchlight launched as a finished product and has remained so.

Welcome to Torchlight! A sleepy enclave founded on the discovery of rich veins of Ember: a rare and mysterious ore with the power to enchant or corrupt all that it touches.
