Tomomon launched in September 2024 and has received a consistent stream of major content updates: a launch update on September 23, 2024, a major v1.0.0 update on March 17, 2025, the Moonlight Festival Update on November 6, 2025 (which added a new island area, 50 new monsters, and a new skin system), and the Spring Festival Update on February 17, 2026 (adding new gear tiers, gacha monsters, skins, and more). This establishes a clear pattern of substantial content additions every few months. On January 7, 2026, the solo developer (Gia) published a candid devlog explaining that Tomomon 1 is not yet at the quality level he originally envisioned, and that he is committed to continuing updates to get it there. He also disclosed that the game is not generating enough income to comfortably support him and his animator, and that he is beginning early planning for Tomomon 2 as a financial safety net — while pledging to keep Tomomon 1 as his primary focus. The Spring Festival Update that shipped in February 2026 confirmed he followed through on that commitment.
