Void Invaders

Void Invaders launched on August 14, 2015 and received several major content updates over the following year, culminating in the "Ultra Update" (version 1.7.0) released on September 2, 2016. In that final update post, the developers — Noah & Koen of VoidDev — explicitly stated: "We're pretty sure that this will be the last major update for Void Invaders (though we'll stick around and try to fix any bugs you may find). We've had a great time working on Void Invaders, but everything comes to an end. After having worked on it for nearly two years, we're ready to start working on something new." This is a clear developer statement that intentional content development has concluded. The only DLC ever released was the free soundtrack (December 7, 2015), which has shipped. No unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, and no further content has been announced since September 2016. The game launched as a finished arcade experience and received substantial post-launch additions before the developers formally wrapped up work on it.
