VR Dungeon Knight

VR Dungeon Knight entered Steam Early Access on April 24, 2017 and has received a rich history of major updates throughout its development — at least 10 significant content releases covering new classes, weapons, bosses, pets, dungeon areas, and gameplay systems. These updates arrived roughly every 3–5 months through early 2020, demonstrating a healthy and sustained development pace. The most recent update — the Gunslinger Update (Patch 0.9.7) on February 13, 2020 — added a new class, an elemental damage system, and reworked all existing classes. In that post, the developer also shared that significant behind-the-scenes work was underway, including a full rework of combat, AI, and multiplayer systems, with the stated goal of building a more stable foundation for new content leading up to a 1.0 release. However, no update, patch, news post, or developer communication of any kind has appeared since February 13, 2020. The game remains on Steam at version 0.9.7, still labeled as Early Access. The 1.0 release the developer described has never materialized, and the promised system reworks have never been followed up on publicly. With over six years of silence since the last communication — and the game still formally marked as unfinished Early Access — there is genuine uncertainty about whether development is ongoing, paused, or quietly abandoned. The developer has not announced the game's completion, cancellation, or any change in status.
