Evaluation

Worlds of Magic launched on March 19, 2015, and received two DLC packs on May 25, 2015 (the Sorcerer Lords Pack and the Titans Pack). Those remain the only DLC ever released for the game, and both have shipped. On April 20, 2016, the developer made an official statement confirming that active development on Worlds of Magic had ended. Rather than continuing to update the game, they announced they were pivoting to a sequel/rework called Planar Conquest, and that every existing owner of Worlds of Magic would receive Planar Conquest for free. This is the clearest possible signal that Worlds of Magic itself was considered complete and would receive no further content. The remaining news posts visible on the game's Steam page (from late 2025) are publisher announcements for entirely different games — Brotherhood, Stones Keeper II, Decadent Heir, and Heads Will Roll: Reforged — and have no bearing on Worlds of Magic's development status. The game launched, received two DLC packs, and the developer officially moved on to a successor title in 2016. Worlds of Magic is a finished, complete product.
Evidence
Developer officially announced that development of Worlds of Magic is concluding. A sequel/rework called Planar Conquest will be released instead, and all Worlds of Magic owners will receive it for free.
