Airplane Mode launched on October 15, 2020 as a finished product — a single-experience simulation of a real-time transatlantic flight. Following launch, the developer addressed stability issues (memory leaks, graphics bugs) through a series of patches in October and November 2020. The last meaningful update was the December 9, 2020 v1.3.0 patch, which added two podcast episodes as bonus content and localization for Simplified Chinese and Russian. No further updates, announcements, or developer communications have been posted since that date. The store description does not reference any planned content, season passes, or ongoing updates. The game appears to have launched as a complete, self-contained experience and has received no developer communication since December 9, 2020.
