Astro Colony

Astro Colony officially launched version 1.0 on June 2, 2026 after over 8 years of development and approximately 3.5 years in Early Access. The developer has remained highly active since launch. At the time of the 1.0 launch, the developer explicitly committed to sharing a roadmap for versions 1.1 and beyond. This was backed up by ongoing post-launch work: a feature patch shipped on July 4, 2026 adding new crafting mechanics, new devices, and quality-of-life improvements. Most recently, on August 19, 2026, the developer posted a detailed update describing a major multiplayer overhaul that has been in development for the past three weeks. A test branch is already available to players, and the developer stated the official release is expected in approximately two weeks from that post. The post also includes a list of remaining items still to be completed before the official release, confirming that development is actively ongoing. The developer's track record — consistent major updates throughout Early Access and continued active work post-launch — strongly supports that more content and improvements are coming.
