Hydroneer

Hydroneer launched on May 8, 2020 and received four years of post-launch content, including two major free updates — the Farming Season update (December 9, 2022) and the Prospecting Update (April 14, 2023) — followed by the paid "Journey to Volcalidus" DLC on April 5, 2024. The developer, Foulball Hangover, has explicitly and repeatedly stated that April 2024 marked the completion of Hydroneer. On May 8, 2025, the studio announced their next game, "Die Trying," writing: "In April 2024, we released 'Hydroneer: Journey to Volcalidus' DLC to mark us finishing Hydroneer." On March 1, 2026, they again confirmed: "as some of you may know, after we finished Hydroneer in April 2024 we've been hard at work on our next game." A May 8, 2026 patch post further states: "Even though Hydroneer is a finished title, we want to continue to support the game with optimizations and bug fixes." This maintenance commitment — which brought console optimization improvements to PC alongside the game's launch on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 on May 8, 2026 — does not represent new content. The developer is clear that Hydroneer is complete and that their primary focus has shifted to Die Trying. The sole DLC is released, all content has shipped, and no further content additions are planned.
