Blaster Shooter GunGuy! launched on August 10, 2015 as a self-contained 2D action platformer with 56 levels across 7 worlds. The developer shipped a handful of post-launch patches in late 2015 and early 2016 — adding controller support, audio tweaks, and difficulty adjustments — with the last update arriving on January 4, 2016. After that, the developer's attention shifted entirely to other projects: a new game called "The Narrator is a DICK" (released June 2016), and then a remastered edition of that game (released April 2020).
