Dead World

Dead World is an Early Access first-person shooter being developed solo by Juan Ignacio Ferreyra at Milanesa Studio. The game entered Early Access on May 4, 2024, and has received a steady stream of updates since then. The developer has been consistently communicating and shipping content throughout 2025 and 2026. Major content milestones include the addition of a new story, "Gino's Journey" (March 16, 2025), a roguelite mode update (May 23, 2025), and a significant update on September 22, 2025 that introduced the first continuation of the main story arc "The Lost Wagon," along with a new inventory system and other features. In July 2025, the developer disclosed that a disk failure caused a major project loss, requiring several sections to be rebuilt from scratch — but explicitly committed to continuing development and has delivered on that with subsequent updates. As recently as May 1, 2026, the developer confirmed that work on the next part of the story had resumed following the completion of a voice acting pass. On March 10, 2026, a post announced that the full story chapter "The Lost Wagon" is still in development. Most tellingly, on August 19, 2026 — just five days before today — the developer posted about their next game's demo and explicitly framed it as something players can try "while you wait for the story development of DW to finish," directly confirming that Dead World's story content remains incomplete and in development. A feature patch was also posted on August 4, 2026, showing continued active work on gameplay systems. The game remains in Early Access with unfinished story content explicitly acknowledged by the developer.
