Dragon Quest Heroes II launched on Steam on April 25, 2017. Following launch, Square Enix delivered a series of free post-launch content updates adding side stories, new characters, boss maps, spells, and multiplayer modes. On June 2, 2017, the developer explicitly announced that the Monster Medal Battle mode was "the final update for DQH2," and recapped all the free content added since launch. No further content has been announced or released since that date. The game shipped as a complete, finished product and all post-launch additions have been delivered. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no outstanding developer commitments, and no further developer communications about new content.
