Gladiator School

Gladiator School launched in November 2017 and has had a long and active update history. After several years of post-launch updates, the developer released the major "Pit Boss" overhaul in February 2021, followed by the "Vanilla Edition" revival in May 2022, which bundled a significant rework of the original game alongside a new DLC expansion called "The Divine Emperor." This was presented as a fresh start and a commitment to continuing support for the classic version of the game. On September 22, 2022, the developer announced another free DLC expansion called "The Ogre King," describing a new northern city, a major gladiator tournament, a new storyline, and a second ending. No release date was given beyond "to be announced soon." That announcement was the last official communication from the developer. As of June 27, 2026, no further posts, patches, or updates have appeared — a silence spanning more than three and a half years. The Ogre King expansion was never released. It remains an announced-but-unshipped commitment, and the extended developer silence makes it impossible to confirm whether work on it is ongoing, paused, or abandoned. The same September 2022 post also noted that half the team had shifted to a separate game called Tower Walker, which may have contributed to the slowdown on Gladiator School.
