Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days launched on August 17, 2010, and all three of its DLC packs shipped on August 31, 2010 — just two weeks after release. IO Interactive has made no announcements of additional content at any point since then, and there are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The game was released as a complete product with a small batch of launch-window DLC, and that content cycle wrapped up in August 2010.
The only developer activity since then is a maintenance update on May 28, 2026, in which Square Enix added Steam Cloud support to the game as part of a broader effort to improve their classic back catalogue. This patch explicitly frames the game as a legacy title being preserved, not one in active development — the same treatment was applied to Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause 3. No new gameplay content was introduced or announced.
