Evaluation

KeepUp Survival is a solo-developed open-world survival game that released on March 5, 2024. The developer, Witte Studio, has maintained a consistent and frequent pattern of updates since launch — and well before it. Major content milestones since launch include: the Mountain Map DLC (October 18, 2024), the New Locations/Laboratory update adding a new area and completing the island's story (September 27, 2025), a crossplay and Social Launcher update enabling cross-platform play between Steam and Epic Games (May 8, 2026), and most recently a rework of the traveling boats system (September 17, 2026 — just 13 days before today's assessment). In an October 18, 2025 developer statement, the developer explicitly confirmed "KeepUp Survival is constantly being improved and expanded by me as a solo developer. I work on it every day," and concluded "The journey is far from over, there is much more to come!" The January 25, 2026 post outlined crossplay plans that subsequently shipped, demonstrating the developer's track record of following through on stated intentions. The September 17, 2026 update itself notes the boat system "will continue to be expanded in the future" with more boats and longer routes planned, confirming the developer's ongoing intent. All five listed DLC are released and no unreleased DLC is currently on the store. However, the developer has made no statement suggesting development is winding down or complete — quite the opposite. The active posting cadence (5 major content releases, 12 feature patches, and 8 bug fixes across 50 scanned posts) and the explicit forward-looking statements in the most recent update confirm this game is still in active development.

About this game

KeepUp Survival is an indie survival game created by a solo developer.

KeepUp Survival is a creative base-building and exploration survival game set in a natural world.

The focus is on building, crafting, discovery, and relaxed survival at your own pace.

Shape your own survival experience: There are no fixed objectives. Set your own goals, explore the island, build your base, and freely develop your own playstyle.

An Island Full of Secrets

A global pandemic has shaken humanity. On this remote island once stood a secret research facility that was meant to develop a cure, but something went terribly wrong.

During the global chaos, an evacuation flight was launched, but navigation data became unreliable, communication systems failed, and fuel supplies ran low.
The aircraft lost control and crashed near an unknown island, by chance... or perhaps not?

You survive the crash and find yourself alone in what appears to be a peaceful yet abandoned world.

As you explore the island, you discover voice recordings from a woman named Jill, who was here before you. She speaks of strange events, experiments conducted within the research facility, and something hidden deep beneath the surface.

Inside the facility, you uncover traces of those experiments... remnants of something that was once human, but is no longer entirely human.
The research created something that should never have existed.

Jill's final message ends with a warning:

"I can no longer receive signals from anywhere in the world - except for one final, weak radio transmission from New York. Stay on the island... this may be the last safe place left."

The island reveals only part of the truth.

The deeper you venture, the greater the mystery of the world becomes.
