Liftoff®: Micro Drones

Liftoff: Micro Drones officially launched on August 4, 2025, graduating from Early Access after several years of development. Since then, LuGus Studios has maintained a consistent and active post-launch update schedule. The game has received five major content updates or milestones since launch: the 1.0 full release itself (August 4, 2025), Update 1.0.5 (October 20, 2025), Update 1.0.6 (November 5, 2025), Update 1.0.8 (April 16, 2026), and Milestone 1.1.0 (June 1, 2026). These have delivered new drones, new track elements, a full physics engine overhaul (Physics 6.0), leaderboard improvements, and drone editor enhancements. A further feature patch (1.1.1) shipped on July 1, 2026, adding another new drone frame. The developer explicitly stated at launch on August 11, 2025 that they were "just getting started," and in January 2026 confirmed "a lot of exciting things planned for this year," including a drawing board-style environment still referenced as upcoming. No announcement has been made indicating that development or content updates are concluding. The most recent developer communication was July 1, 2026, well within the established update cadence of roughly one to two months between releases. There is no sign of development slowing.
