MO: Astray launched on October 24, 2019 as a complete pixel art action-platformer. After launch, the developer shipped several post-release updates: an easy mode in December 2019, and a major free content update in September 2020 (v1.3.1) adding Disaster Mode and Speed Mode, accompanied by a speedrun competition event. A few follow-up bug fix patches ran through November 30, 2020, which appears to be the last developer communication on record.
The one item that could suggest future content — a humorous April 1, 2020 post announcing a fake romance simulation sequel called "MØ Partners MØ Problems" — reads as an April Fools' joke given its absurd premise (a sewer romance story, release "in 2025" on mobile), and no follow-up communication ever materialized to treat it as a genuine announcement.
No updates of any kind have been posted since November 30, 2020. The only DLC ever listed is the original soundtrack, which shipped on launch day. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, and no developer statements indicating future content. The post-launch update activity appears to have wrapped up with the November 2020 patch cycle. The game launched and was supported as a finished, self-contained product.

Awakening inside an abandoned laboratory, the green, ambiguous lifeform MO discovers that it not only has to face an extremely hostile and sinister environment, but it also must face humans who, having been taken over by alien parasitic plants, are now stuck in the endless limbo between death and rebirth.
What's more, there seems to be an eerie presence that's watching all of this from the shadows.
After groping around for clues, MO gradually becomes aware that it is responsible for a mission of immense importance. Under the guidance of the mysterious mutterings in its ear, MO is able to overcome one obstacle after another.
