Mushroom Wars 2

Mushroom Wars 2 launched on October 6, 2017. It received two paid DLC releases: the Official Soundtrack (October 16, 2017) and Episode 3: Red & Furious (February 19, 2019). Both are fully released with no unreleased DLC remaining in the store. The most significant and recent developer communication is from August 30, 2019, where Zillion Whales made an official statement explaining a strategic shift: the studio decided to focus its development resources entirely on the mobile version of the game. They explicitly stated they were "put[ting] full concentration on developing more quality content for mobile" and that Steam players would be separated from the mobile player pool. While this post described some near-term balance tweaks, the overall message was that PC/Steam is no longer the focus of active development. Since that August 30, 2019 post, there have been no further developer communications of any kind — no patches, no announcements, no news posts. The last developer activity on Steam dates to August 30, 2019, nearly seven years before today's date of June 27, 2026. The DLC list is fully released. The developer's final substantive communication signaled a pivot away from the Steam version. The extended silence since that date strongly reinforces that the Steam version of Mushroom Wars 2 has reached the end of its content lifecycle. The game shipped a complete campaign (over 100 missions across three episodes) and its content appears final.
