MUSYNX launched on Steam on December 4, 2018 as a rhythm game and has continued to receive free song additions ever since. The previous evaluation noted that updates had stopped after April 2022, but new data shows this was incorrect — the developer resumed (or continued) posting updates throughout 2025 and 2026. New songs were added on January 27, 2025 (six songs), September 30, 2024 (four songs), December 19, 2025 (one song), February 14, 2026 (two songs), April 3, 2026 (two songs), June 26, 2026 (one song), and August 10, 2026 (one song). This establishes a clear, sustained cadence of song additions continuing right up to August 10, 2026 — just six weeks before today's date of September 22, 2026. The developer also announced a new related title, "MUSYNX: RETURN," with its store page going live on December 31, 2025 and a playable demo launching February 14, 2026. Notably, these announcements did not replace updates to the original MUSYNX — both were happening simultaneously. The original game has continued to receive new songs even after the sequel's demo launched. The store description explicitly promises "Constant Music Updates," and the developer's behavior has matched that promise consistently. All seven DLC items (visual and theme packs) are released, but the free song additions represent the ongoing content model for this game. No developer statement has announced the end of these updates.
