STRAFTAT

STRAFTAT launched as a free-to-play online shooter on October 24, 2024, and has been receiving a consistent stream of major content updates ever since. The developer has shipped five major free updates post-launch: the January Free Update (January 17, 2025) adding 30 new maps and new weapons; the April Maps Update (April 4, 2025) adding 35 maps; the DLC & Maps Update (May 8, 2025) adding 37 maps, 4 weapons, and new cosmetics; the 2v2/FFA Massive Update (July 15, 2025) introducing entirely new game modes; and the Bazaar Free Update (November 8, 2025) adding 50+ maps and 12 new music tracks. Between and after these major drops, the developer has also been shipping regular feature patches and bug fixes — the most recent official communication being a substantial feature patch (version 1.4.9) on September 16, 2026, which added 15 new achievements, new UI systems, and numerous fixes. A note in the September 21, 2025 update stated that the team had recently started working on their next game (Babbdi2), and that STRAFTAT updates would be "less frequent" going forward, but explicitly confirmed they would "still continue to update the game for bug fixing and potential new content." The Bazaar Update post from November 8, 2025 also closed with: "stay tuned for future updates. We definitely want STRAFTAT to live as long as possible." These statements, combined with continued active patching through September 2026, confirm the game is still receiving ongoing development attention. Both DLC items on the store are released. No specific future content has been formally announced, but the developer has not communicated an end to updates, and patches continue to arrive.
