On July 9, 2025 — the game's 10th anniversary — the developer announced a sequel is in development. The announcement explicitly frames this as a new, separate game ("its long-awaited sequel"), not new content for Super Cyborg itself. The developer also acknowledged the sequel is in early stages and could take many years. This means the original Super Cyborg is a complete, finished product with no further updates planned for it.
