UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes launched on January 24, 2024 with a Season Pass promising three DLC characters: Uzuki (released July 25, 2024), Ogre (released February 20, 2025), and Izumi (released August 19, 2025). The Season Pass was fully fulfilled with Izumi's release.
However, since the previous assessment, the developer posted a character trailer on June 29, 2026 for a fourth DLC character named "Zohar," described as a "Doppelganger" joining the battle. This character does not appear in the current DLC listing as a released item, and no release date has been provided. This is a concrete developer announcement of unshipped content — a new character has been revealed but not yet delivered.
The game has continued to receive regular balance patches throughout its post-launch life (versions 1.33, 1.34, 1.35, and a network patch in December 2025), showing the developer remains actively engaged. The announcement of Zohar confirms that content development is continuing beyond the original Season Pass.
