Zooicide

Zooicide launched into Early Access on June 30, 2017 and received a handful of updates through the end of that year. The developer, Evil Tortilla Games, shipped three updates between launch and October 2017, adding new animals, items, and gameplay improvements. The fourth and final update arrived on December 8, 2017, adding the Arctic Adventure area with a Polar Bear and Penguin. Critically, that same December 8, 2017 post included a direct statement from the developer: "At this time, we have regretfully decided to put a halt on all Zooicide updates to focus on our other projects." This is an explicit announcement that development has stopped. No further news posts, patches, or communications have been made since that date — now more than eight years ago. The game remains on Steam and can still be purchased, but it is still formally marked as Early Access. It never received a 1.0 release, and the developer has not announced any plans to resume development. The store description still references features "on the way" and content "to be added over time," but these reflect the state of the page at the time of abandonment, not current plans.
