Evaluation

On September 27, 2023, the developer Days of Wonder published an official announcement confirming that Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition would be removed from all stores on October 3, 2023. The reason given was that the game's underlying engine is no longer supported by any platform, making it impossible to create new content, make significant updates, or ensure stability. The game has been confirmed as no longer purchasable, consistent with this announced delisting. Existing owners retain access to their library copy and can continue playing in solo mode, but the game is no longer available for new purchases. A successor game developed by Marmalade Game Studio was announced to release on Steam in November 2023, but that is a separate product.

Evidence

Developer announced the game would be removed from all stores on October 3, 2023, citing an unsupported engine that makes new content, updates, and stability impossible. In-app purchases would also stop. Existing owners retain access to their library copy.
